                           Help Support President Trump

Call This Number To Voice Your Opinions: 630-987-0987

Donald Trump has received immense amounts of backlash for some of the bills that he has passed in his first 100 days and we need your help to support your current president of the United States. Trump does not deserve this ridicule that he is receiving from the biased liberal media such as CNN and NBC that is trying to make the strong candidate look incompetent.

While the President Trump realizes that every president in office will go through some amount of backlash, he believes that he is receiving more then any president has seen before in the history of the United States. It is no secret that Donald Trump hosted the reality show "The Apprentice" and liberal media sites such as CNN have used this against the president as him being incompetent for the job. Donald Trump through his experience in the business world is going to get the American economy back to where it needs to be after Barack Obama tried to run it into the ground. The number on the top of this flyer is the number to the CNN headquarters where we can voice our opinions about what they are saying about are great president. Trump again and again has had to kick out CNN, BuzzFeed, The New York Times, and other false liberal media to make sure that fake news is not reaching the American public.

It is the Republicans time to take back this great country and give jobs back to the hard-working Americans that make this country so great in the first place. While Trump may lack experience in political office, he has a vast knowledge of how to deal with funds and turn a failing business back around.

Seen from this article from Forbes, the S & P, the Dow Jones, and the Treasury Rate all increased in percentage points on the Inauguration Day for Trump. Trumps numbers speak for itself and we need you as the American people to help him out so that he can remain in office without having to be hassled by the liberal media that thrives on the suffering of our president.

The most valuable piece of information that one can gain from reading this flyer is to do anything you can to voice your support for Donald Trump. It does not take a lot of money or even a ton of time to let people know that you are a faithful American citizen and agree with what Trump is doing in office. This can be a from a Tweet or a Facebook post that shows our president helping the country in a way that benefits you or your loved ones. Donald Trump knows what it is like to be a normal citizen, one that is outside of the political spectrum, a person that can see through the eyes of the people, not a crooked politician like Hillary Clinton. We need to act now or else drastic measures could be taken in the White House and the savior of our economy could never have a chance to lead again. Barack Obama was not the strong leader that we needed in office to deal with dangerous countries such as North Korea and China. Americans need someone that will lay down the law and keep our children safe for generations to come while also prospering financially.

Once again, anything helps, we appreciate the support and from the bottom of our hearts at the Trump team we hope you can support the movement.

Press Coverage

http://insider.foxnews.com/2017/04/18/trump-buy-american-hire-american-executive-order-wisconsin-america-first

For my first article, I looked at a conservative news feed and how they portrayed Donald Trump. Before reading the article on Fox News, I was thinking that they would be a little kinder to the man that they once loved so much going into the election. As many people know, Fox News is a heavily Republican news station that has been known to stir up some controversy with the people they have on their show as well as write for them. Just recently Bill O’Reilly was fired from Fox News for controversial statements that he made on his show. This leads to the article that I found which was about Donald Trumps “Buy American-Hire American” deal which enforces one of Trumps main issues of giving jobs back to “Americans”. A rather short article with the clip that I have attached up above, Fox News does not go over the top about supporting this act. Instead it is just a quick couple statements showing that it had happened and the speech that Trump gave about it. The media has taken over with the coverage that is being talked about with regards to Trump and his team. While people on Trumps team such as Kellyanne Conway try to influence the media to only shine positive light on what Trump does, she is failing miserably.

http://money.cnn.com/2017/02/24/media/cnn-blocked-white-house-gaggle/

The next article that I brought up was from CNN. Known as a primarily liberal news outlet I wanted to see what they had to say about Donald Trump recently in the news. Specifically, the article that I chose was about the exclusion of certain media outlets from the White House press briefings and how it would eventually hurt the Trump team in the long run. While the article was in a negative light towards Donald Trump it is not even close to the most critical article that I have read on a news outlet about the newly elected president. Unfortunately for Trump in the United States reporters have the freedom to speak their mind about what is going on in the political world. Many reporters have taken full advantage of this to voice their opinions on what kind of person they think Trump is along with plenty of other topics. CNN in this article goes into detail about the facts that Trump and his team continuously make up and how it could eventually get him impeached. It makes sense that are writers would argue this. Even if you are the president of our country, we as people can still find a way to impeach him or stand up to the evil that he is spreading

Finally, the third article that I found was from the New York Times. In the article, they argue that CNN was being biased toward Trump in efforts to make more money. Per the New York Times, the news station made just over 1 billion dollars in covering every part of the now president’s campaign trail. Larry King was noted as having said “it was like the other candidates weren’t even there”. Because of this excessive news coverage towards Donald Trump, Michael Grynbaum points out that CNN most likely helped Trump win the Republican candidacy. This article came as big shock to me considering how against Trump I thought CNN to be. It just goes to show you any corporation can be corrupt for more power and money.

Agenda-Setting

                                               Sean Spicer about handling ISIS

Foreign policy has been a big topic that the Trump campaign has worked on tackling since Donald Trump began his campaigning in early 2015. Around the world attacks have been happening far too frequently and plenty of Americans are looking for reassurance from their government that we are indeed in a safe country that can handle terrorist groups such as ISIS. Taken from his webpage his campaign writes “Defeating ISIS and other radical Islamic terror groups will be our highest priority. To defeat and destroy these groups, we will pursue aggressive joint and coalition military operations when necessary. In addition, the Trump Administration will work with international partners to cut off funding for terrorist groups, to expand intelligence sharing, and to engage in cyberwarfare to disrupt and disable propaganda and recruiting” (whitehouse.gov, 2017). They are very adamant about taking the necessary steps to keep our country safe, not shying away from the possibility of “aggressive joint and coalition military operations if need be. This agenda is a stance that helped Trump gain a lot of supporters throughout his presidential campaign. They saw Trump as a powerful and determined leader that would not be afraid to fight fire with fire if necessary.

This leads to the next issue that Trump considers which is making the military stronger than it has been in the past. “Our military needs every asset at its disposal to defend America. We cannot allow other nations to surpass our military capability. The Trump Administration will pursue the highest level of military readiness” (whitehouse.gov, 2017). Despite how unpredictable President Trump has been in what he supports, like his foreign policy, his stance on military expansion is something that he has stood by over time. From an outsider’s perspective, I question the end goal of what the Trump administration is trying to do with further strengthening our military. It seems to me that our military is already one of the strongest in the world and we might need to focus on other issues such as the racial divide in our country or getting clean water to the unfortunate Americans that cannot get it.
Hillary Clinton's and Donald Trump's Shared Agendas

While both candidates were clearly divided on a lot of subjects there were certain subject areas that I found the two presidential candidates to agree on. Clinton and Trump were both in favor for cutting taxes for the lower and middle class Americans. An issue that was talked about constantly during the election and one where the two feuding candidates could set their differences aside and agree with one another. Along with that, the two candidates also agreed that some parts of the United States government layout needed to change. While what each candidate thought needed to change were different in most aspects, they both agreed upon this idea overall together.

The article that I found after google searching about Trumps plan to increase spending into the government pointed out the skepticism that many people had about the plan. Because of our already enormous deficit people (rightfully so), were skeptical about putting more money into the military. After having researched Trump over almost the entire semester now, what the New York Times has to say about what the president is the least of his concerns. My only hope is that we don't get into a war that we don't need to be in.

Pop Culture

Donald Trump has had a whirlwind of opinions voiced about him throughout his campaign and has followed him to his current term as president. With his outlandish comments about sensitive subject matters and the image that he is racist, greedy, and incompetent to be President of the United States we have seen a field day for talk shows, comedy sketches, or anything entertainment wise you can think of. So, for this week's blog post I decided to look into how South Park depicted not only President Trump, but his former running mate in the previous election, Hillary Clinton. Both candidates during the election were given a negative annotation throughout the show and provided some hilarious humor for those that were opposed to the two candidates. This image obviously is not the kind of thing that Donald Trump wants to be said about him as he serves his first term in office. During his campaign Trump made sure to come off as a strong leader that would get things done. In South Park he is portrayed by Mr. Garrison who does not even want to be president in the first place. It finds the character putting on orange makeup and trying to prevent himself from becoming the president of the United States. Despite his efforts to not become president, Mr. Garrison finds himself leading the country.

We are as country extremely luck to be able to portray our political leaders in whatever light we want, good or bad. While some may see this as cruel and unwarranted to call a presidential candidate (now our president) a giant douche, that is what makes our country so great. We have this freedom to voice our opinions about what is going on with our current government. Unlike other countries such as Russia or North Korea, the United States prides itself on its journalistic freedoms. Going back to the show, it is no secret that South Park is bold and is not afraid to say what they feel. They have been a polarizing figure in T.V. for almost twenty years now and I don't see them stopping anytime soon. This portrayal of our president definitely upset thousands of Americans that think Trump is doing a great job as president and should not be portrayed in this negative light. However, there is nothing they can do about it besides write to comedy central, or boycott the channel or show altogether.

Comedic jabs will continue to be thrown at are president as we move in here in the coming years. The exaggerated image that South Park has painted of Trumps face is something that has been the butt end of jokes since he started his campaign. South Park portrays Trump as someone that is incompetent to do his job. They mock him for being someone that never wanted to run at all and is sort of puppet to other powerful leaders that tell him what to do. It is an honest depiction as we have seen the first few months of the presidency play out. Millions of Americans are scared of what lies ahead in the future and fear for the racial tension that is being exploited due to Trump winning the election. Satire towards the 45th president will continue whether he likes it or not, that I can guarantee.

Advertising Strategy

The first advertisement that I found in support for Trump was an attack ad that was directed at Hillary Clinton. Having any basic knowledge of what was going on during the campaign, this T.V. ad was nothing out of the norm for Donald Trump. He took great strides to make sure that his running partner for the President of the United States was seen as this "evil" person that would not protect our country in the way it needed to be. In this attack ad, Donald Trump points out the emails that Hillary had kept secret. Eventually the commercial goes into attacking Clinton for strengthening ISIS along with calling Americans "deplorable". This ad perfectly represents the type of politics that we saw throughout the 2016 presidential campaign. Both candidates were focused on trying to diminish one another's image with slander and backlash. Watching this advertisement I came to the realization that this ad could be and image ad as well as a issue ad. During the commercial Trump attacks Clintons policies and claims that is the reason why ISIS has become so powerful, which is an issue attack. Then, Trump goes on to show a clip of Clinton calling Americans deplorable which is an attack on who Clinton is as a person or her image. We get both sides of the spectrum that make for such a fierce ad.
Next we have an advertisement that is centered around what Donald Trump can do for the hard working citizens of the United States. Definitely in the realm of a candidate positive image, Trump attempts to convey the message that he is one of the people. That he is someone that understands the working class people and the freedoms that they should have in their every day lives. This message is something that was seen throughout the campaign, seen as an advantage over Hillary who Trump claimed to be a "crooked politician". Another thing to note of this television ad is the use of military themes throughout the 8 minute advertisement. Military recognition was one of Trump's big issues
that he felt was being neglected. Donald Trump did such a good job at marketing towards the lower, white class of American workers. In this T.V. advertisement they interview hunters to get their perspective on Hillary Clinton. To no surprise, they feel that their needs will not be met with Clinton and that Trump would assure them the rights they feel were established when this country was created. This ad is an image ad, trying to establish that relatability that voters felt with the now President of the United States.
Although this image is not an advertisement in the typical sense, I think the Donald Trump "Make American Great Again" hat is worth mentioning. This hat became the key to Trumps image and what every supporter became known for. The hat was used as sort of an advertisement for the loyal supporters of Trump. An object that became almost a polarizing image that had a weird look to it,  a hat that looked similar to a railroad conductors hat. The idea to make hats for the campaign was a great idea and advertised Trumps slogan throughout the U.S.

My final advertisement is a serious online advertisement put out by the Trump administration. Going off a sort of scare advertising tactic, Trump promises to "take this country back". Similar to the T.V. ads that I looked at, President Trump during the 2016 campaign felt that there was something wrong with the current political state that America was facing at the time. This ad is most certainly an image ad that portrays Trump as this strong leader that will get America headed in the direction that it needs to go. Trump did an excellent job throughout the campaign trail of conveying strength to his loyal voters who were tired of politicians being "politically correct" and making promises that they couldn't follow through with. Donald Trump ended up being the winner that no one expected, through ways that we had never seen before as a country.

Online Presence of Donald Trump

Before looking any further into the online presence of our 45th president, the first social media platform I checked was Twitter. https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/839116941956640768
Irony at its best right here

Like many of his tweets, Trump refers to this "FAKE NEWS" that has baffled as many as it has intrigued. There has never been a politician that has used social media, particularly Twitter in Donald Trump's case, that has made a political candidate so polarizing and talked about. Trump's tweets divided our nation more than we ever thought possible. Look at the replies to his tweets and it is almost all backlash or people in defense of the backlash Trump is getting. We are in a new era of politics that the internet age has brought to our nation whether we like it or not. President Trump has changed how we will look at social media use in any political race, big or small. As easy as it would be to talk about Donald Trumps Twitter I need to move onto the other social media outlets Trump uses.

Polls

Looking in depth to the polling numbers is something that I have never done for any election while I have been alive. So why wouldn’t the first election polling I look into be one of the most divisive in history. Every poll one looked at had Hillary Clinton winning, it seemed like an almost guarantee that she would become the first woman President of the United States. While expectations were high for a monumental day in history, no one was paying attention to the undecided voters that were being overlooked by the organizations that were doing the polling.

As you can see from the chart above, Clintons margin was way over calculated while now President Trumps was way under calculated. While this exit poll may be a little bias considering it was taken from CNN, it is still shocking of how off they were on the margins of victories for certain states. That goes for some of the states that Hillary Clinton won and some of the states that Donald Trump won. Taken from fivethirtyeight.com “The cacophony of headlines about how “CLINTON LEADS IN POLL” neglected the fact that these leads were often quite small and that if one poll missed, the others potentially would also. As I pointed out on Wednesday, if Clinton had done only 2 percentage points better across the board, she would have received 307 electoral votes and the polls would have “called” 49 of 50 states correctly”. This is a staggering statistic the article gives us to show just how tight knit this race was. It seemed set in stone that Hillary Clinton would win by a landslide when no one was paying attention to the small percentage points she was winning in plenty of states.

Young voters is not where Hillary missed her mark in the polls as seen from the bar graph above. She failed to look further into the other voters that she was missing, the older white generation that arguably won the election for Trump.
After having learned more about polling in the past week or two, it is no easy task to get accurate polling statistics. In the most recent case involving Trump and Clinton it came down to the polls forgetting about the undecided voters in some states that led to the shift in momentum towards Trump and an eventual win. I would start by asking people what they wanted to see in a candidate. As basic of a question as it is, you can delve deeper into what that person sees in the two candidates along with whether they might be swayed one way or another. Getting into too many specifics of what types of questions you would ask is hard considering that I would ask questions based around a person’s voting history and what they want out of a presidential candidate.

Polling is key to our political nature of today. Everyone wants to be aware of what is going on around them and needs immediacy in this day and age. That doesn’t go for every American but a majority wants to be updated as quickly as possible of what lies ahead for the political world. Polling lets us get an image of where we are as a country, what types of people are located where and why they vote for the candidates they do. Some choices for a certain demographic are obvious while others are harder to see.
